The Photographer

Hello, We are From Studio Laxmi

For twelve years I've photographed the truest moments of people's lives — from three-day weddings in Dhulikhel to expeditions above five thousand metres. My work lives where documentary honesty meets fine-art craft: nothing staged that shouldn't be, nothing missed that matters.

My Story
The Process

From First Coffee to Final Frame

01

Conversation

We meet over coffee — in the studio or on a call — and I listen to your story, your plans and the moments that matter most to you.

02

Vision

Together we shape a creative direction: locations, light, mood boards and a timeline built around how the day naturally unfolds.

03

The Shoot

On the day I work quietly and unobtrusively, directing only when needed, so every frame feels honest and unposed.

04

The Craft

Every image is hand-edited with a signature fine-art grade. No presets applied blindly — each frame is finished individually.

05

Delivery

Your story arrives as a private online gallery, a cinematic film, and heirloom prints designed to outlive us both.

What Clients Remember

★★★★★

“Laxmi didn't photograph our wedding — she preserved it. Every time we open the album we find a moment we'd forgotten. My father cried at a photo of his own mother laughing. That is what you're paying for.”

“I've worked with photographers in Delhi, Bangkok and Kathmandu. Studio Laxmi's editorial instincts are world-class — my monsoon collection campaign outperformed every previous season.”

“We wanted a tiny wedding and worried it wouldn't 'photograph well.' The gallery looks like a film. Guests still ask which magazine shot it.”

Questions Couples Ask

Wedding dates — especially November–February and wedding-season Saturdays — book 6–12 months ahead. Portraits and commercial work usually need 2–3 weeks. A signed agreement and 30% retainer secures your date.

Documentary first, fine-art always. I photograph real moments as they happen and direct only when needed — then finish every frame with an editorial, timeless grade. No fake candids, no cheesy poses.

Constantly. Pokhara, Chitwan, Mustang and destination weddings across Asia are all part of a normal season. Travel and accommodation are quoted transparently in your proposal — no surprises.

Yes. Our film division works alongside photography so neither interferes with the other. Booking both with one studio means one aesthetic, one timeline and one point of contact.
